Schumann Energy Recovery Low Volume LS Oil Pump LS-ER-LV-PI

When the RPM is brought up on the starting line, the oil pump goes into bypass as it reacts to the added volume and pressure. The pump is designed by the factory to route the bypassed oil back into the intake port working against the needed flow of oil. This works fine for the daily driver, but in a high- performance application, this results in a lack of oil supply to the bearings. The Energy Recovery System routes the bypassed oil into the intake tube providing a constant supply to the pump and bearings.

The Schumann Energy Recovery System comes in a kit and does require some welding. The kit contains one complete Energy Recovery oil pump assembly, one 320 degree oil input fitting for attachment to the oil intake tube, 18 inches of 250lb. No. 6 fluid line and push lock fittings as required.

• O-ring seal of port to block
• 9/16 oversize outlet port to block
• Ball check technology of oil pressure/volume by-pass circuit
• (2) Viton Hi-Temp o-ring seals provided
• (4) Color coded oil pressure springs that are interchangeable by external access port. See chart below for spring color coding.

Oil pressure will vary depending upon oil temp, oil viscosity and bearing clearances. Chart below is a reference guide only.
